This Document Includes:

A detailed and easy-to-follow employer guide - What should employers be considering now?

Anti-harassment policy (containing the requirements as set out by the EHRC).

Risk assessment template and draft action plan (with examples of risks).

Anonymous employee harassment reporting survey.

The Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, which came into force as of 26th October 2024, requiring employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. Subsequently, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has published guidance on the definition of 'reasonable steps'.

I have composed this pack with a summary of guidance and draft template documents for employers to customise, to help put such measures into place taking into account the EHRC's guidelines.

All of the above documents, are deemed fundamental steps for the vast majority of employers, given their reasonableness to implement.

The EHRC themselves, state that the guidance they share may not diminish any potential claims for failing to put reasonable measures in place to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. Each employer will be required to tailor the documents to their own requirements. The following guidance IS NOT a definitive list of requirements.
